SHE WAS ALMOST ALWAYS PORTRAYED IN THE FORM OF A COBRA WEARING THE" RED CROWN" OF LOWER EGYPT. SHE EPITOMIZES the power of sovereignty." MYTHOLOGY TELLS US THAT "WADJET" WOVE STALKS OF PAPYRUS INTO A SCREEN IN ORDER TO HIDE" ISIS" AND HER CHILD FROM THE EVIL. AND, iN THE "BOOK OF THE DEAD", SHE PROTECTS THE SOULS OF THE DECEASED BY DESTROYING THEIR ENEMIES IN THE UNDERWORLD. IN HER MORE PASSIVE ASPECTS, SHE CREATED THE PAPYRUS SWAMPS IN THE NILE DELTA, EARNING HER THE ATTRIBUTES OF GROWTH AND NEW LIFE.
