People pray Goddess Lakshmi for fortune,etc.They even pray by Lakshmi Yantra,which gives the fortune to the devotee. People pray Goddess Lakshmi by doing japa.
By performing Varalakshmi Vratha,the grace of Goddess Lakshmi can be obtained.
