Enmesarra, or Enmesarra, in Sumerian and Akkadian mythology is an underworld god of the law. Described as a Sun god, protector of flocks and vegetation, and therefore he has been equated with Nergal.. On the other hand, he has been described as an ancestor of Enlil, and it has been claimed that Enlil slew him.
