ROD (the God) Old lord of creation. Wonder; swirling double-helix blue flame. Rod, sometimes referred to simply as god (Div, Diy; in the Veda Slovena Diy or Dia), is probably the most ancient deity in the Slavic pantheon. It is likely that several other gods, most notably Svarog, were initially epithets or incarnations of Rod. Svarog Rod meant Heavenly Rod. Later on these incarnations separated from Rod and were worshipped as separate entities. Very little is known about actual worship of Rod. In Slavic mythology Rod is the first god—progenitor of deities, creator of the Universe and its manager. He is the supreme universal principle, which established the divine law Pravda (Prav). He is a protector of blood-ties and clan relations, a patron of kinship and clan unions. At the beginning of Time, at the very beginning of the Cosmos, only Rod existed and there was nothing around him. According to some believers, he later created the Universe and the three worlds Jav, Prav and Nav, and arranged everything inside them. Rod also introduced the superior principle of balance between elements and enforced the highest law Pravda, which every creature and power (physical or metaphysical, material or energy) must obey.

Creator of Heaven, Earth, and the Underworld. Comes out of the Egg bringing Fire. He was the god who created both the world and life: he created man, established the family and gathered the nation together. Yav is the material world in which we are right now. Gods however are equally part of Yav. Yav is contained within Nav. Nav is the immaterial world, the world of the dead. Stars, which are the souls of the dead, as well as Svarga and Irij, are parts of Nav. Prav is the law that governs both Yav and Nav.

Unkulunkulu is the creator god in the language of the Zulu people. Unkulunkulu is believed to be father of Jesus and the term "Nkulunkulu" simple means "God". Other names include uMdali "Creator", uMvelinqandi "First than everything" also is uMvelinqangi in isiXhosa language. In the isiZulu language, the name means "the very great/high one". According to other myths, it is said that he came down from the sky to fight an Evil Demon and won against the Demon on a No Moon Day. His kingdom is heaven or Xenos "The land of angels and gods of protection". He is said to have created Primus angels Litu and his wife to be guardian angels of Jesus when he was born. He is also said to have created archangel Michael, Uriel, Gabriel... He also created Eden and Eva with Adam. His first angel was Lucifer the "Devil" whom later wanted to take the kingdom but was kicked out of heaven with few other angels. The creation stories of uNkulunkulu]] tell that he came from the reeds, and from them he brought forth the people and the cattle. He created everything from land and water to animals. He is considered the first man as well as the parent of all people. He taught the Zulu how to hunt, how to make fire, and how to grow food.

SHE WAS THE OLD CRONE DEITY OF THE YEARLY CYCLE. HER NAME MEANS "TO LIVE THROUGH THE YEAR "(ANNA) AND" LASTS MANY YEARS" (PERENNA), STILL SEEN IN THE ENGLISH WORDS ANNUAL AND PERENNIAL. SHE RULES THE CYCLES OF LONGEVITY AND RENEWAL, AND WAS THE DEITY WHO BROUGHT ABUNDANCE AND PLENTY TO HER PEOPLE.

SHE WAS DEPICTED AS AN OLD WOMAN AND HONORED ON THE "IDES OF MARCH", A CRONE GODDESS WHO WAS ALWAYS DEPICTED WITH GRAY HAIR, A WRINKLED FACE, AND A STOOPED BACK. SHE WORE A TRAVELING CAPE AND CARRIED WITH HER A BASKETS STUFFED WITH FOOD. "ANNA PERENNA" WAS THE GODDESS WHO LIKED BRINGING THE SWEETHEARTS TOGETHER. HER RITUALS WERE THEIR KISSES AND THEIR DANCES.

ON THE DAY SACRED TO HER, FAMILIES GATHERED THEIR OWN BASKETS OF FOOD, PITCHED TENTS, AND LAID BLANKETS. CHILDREN PLAYED GAMES AND YOUNG COUPLES COURTED EACH OTHER. EVERYONE ATE AND DRANK THEIR FILL. IT WAS A JOYOUS DAY FILLED WITH A GREAT DEAL OF DRINKING, DANCING, AND PARTYING. THE IDEA WAS TO DRINK AS MANY CUPS OF WINE TO "ANNA "AS YOU WISHED TO LIVE. AT SUNDOWN, EVERYONE GATHERED THEIR BELONGINGS AND STREAMED BACK INTO THE CITY IN AN INFORMAL PROCESSION, SINGING SONGS OF PRAISE TO "ANNA PERENNA. "

WHO IS SHE...THIS MYSTERIOUS WOMAN WHO SLEEPS IN THE POSE RECOMMENDED FOR TIBETAN DREAM YOGA? IS SHE THE GODDESS WHO DREAMED THE WORLD INTO BEING OR A PRIESTESS UNDERGOING A RITE OF INCUBATION. IT IS MOST LIKELY THAT SHE REPRESENTS A POWERFUL SHAMAN WHO ENTERS THE DREAM WORLD TO OBTAIN KNOWLEDGE, THE DREAMING GODDESS OF THE SHAMANIC JOURNEY.
